Kids Service

Sorry it's been so long! Wednesday night we had a children's service at church. It went very well! We focused on our new program, Awana Club, to give the parents an idea of what their children are doing on Sundays. We started with the ceremony, which consists of the Awana theme song, the pledge to the Christian flag, the pledge to the Bible, and a prayer. Then we played some of the games that we play with the kids, but we invited the parents to play with their son/daughter. It was a lot of fun! We sang several kids songs and a number of kids sang a special song or said a Scripture verse. We had a group perform a drama and the choir sang two songs. Our "sermon" was a drama that we prepared with the kids from the choir. It was based on the Fall of Adam & Eve. We also presented some of the prizes to the kids that completed their first Awana book. All in all, it was a fun evening. I think that the parents enjoyed seeing their kids participate and getting a better idea of the Awana Club. Thanks for your prayers!
