Recently, a friend of Daniel’s from the University called us. She wanted to get together with us and “catch up”. After the new year, we had tried several times, but it just hadn’t worked out for us to get together. So this time, she called on a day that Daniel just happened to have off and we met for lunch at a Chinese buffet. When we met, she had so much to tell us – the best of all was that she had recently become a Christian! We were so excited to hear her share her testimony. She shared how her brother came to Christ first and one by one, from oldest to youngest, the rest of the siblings followed. They had invited her to services and she would go, finding excuses to tag along, until finally she accepted the best gift ever – that of salvation! Our hearts were filled with joy to know that the seeds that Daniel planted throughout his years at the University had finally taken root! Please pray with us for Lucero, that her faith will continue to grow.
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow” (2 Cor. 3:6-7).
